Meet Jen McGrawāa hard-working, high-energy REALTORĀ® with a passion for helping Marylanders find and sell homes and will go to great lengths to make sure the house just the right home for them.
Jen and her family settled in Howard County back when she was a freshman in high school. And her first job as a teenager was working at the Columbia ice rinkās snack bar. Even back then, Jen knew she loved interacting with people. So, after graduation, she set out building a career in retail management.
In her most recent role, Jen set up and managed āpop-upā boutiques in hospitals around Maryland. The shops carried everything nurses, doctors and techs would needāfrom scrubs to high-end shoes to stethoscopes.
Jen says, āThroughout my career, Iāve always gravitated to roles where I can work one-on-one with people in the community. And I just loved managing all the details that go into running a successful retail operation. But when COVID hit, I realized I wanted to branch out and do something a little different.ā
Thatās when Jen set about getting her real estate license. And since making the change, sheās never looked backā¦
āIāve helped a lot of people buy and sell homes in Howard, Baltimore, Anne Arundel, and Carroll counties as well as in Baltimore City. But Iāve also gained a lot of life-long friends along the way. In fact, I just met with a friend and former client in her new home. She wanted me to see how sheās decorated everything in the new place.ā
Jen says sheās deeply committed to helping her clients through the process, no matter how long it takes in the current market. āWhen Iām working with buyers, I want them to know that Iām here for them over the long haul. Whether it takes one day or six months, weāll eventually find the right house together.ā
Jen especially loves setting up āopen housesā for her sellersā¦and visiting them with her buyers. āFor my sellers, itās just so much fun to host an event. And for my buyers, itās fun to explore the home together. Itās also a chance to build relationships and get to know other buyers and agents, too.ā
Most of Jenās clients are first-time home buyers. And she says in a low inventory market, it can take three to four offers, on average, to get them into a home. āSo, education and persistence are key.ā
Jenās thrilled to come to work every day with The Bob & Ronna Group because, āTheyāre so enthusiastic. They truly want to see us succeed. And they treat everyone with such respect and professionalism.ā
When not exploring homes with clients, Jen and her husband enjoy traveling and spending time at the beach with their two kids. She and her husband recently celebrated their 25th anniversary with a cruise to the Bahamas. And they hope to go back one day soon. Jenās also an avid shopper, and some of her favorite spots around town include Kohlās, TJ Maxx and Ulta Beauty. They also love hanging out at their home in Sykesville with their chocolate lab, Lola, and their cat, Hailey.
