Meet Jaye Ross, a highly trained and experienced REALTOR® with a strong background in building, construction, and design.

Originally from Washington, DC, Jaye received a BS in Interior Design from Howard University, a BS in Architecture from Catholic University, and an MS in Engineering from Catholic University.

Then, right out of school, Jaye went to work for a big construction and real estate development firm called Gilbane. After about a decade, though, she decided to switch gears and got her doctorate degree in health administration and even opened her own medical billing company.

But the world of building, construction, and design kept calling her back… and she decided to go back to school, once again, to get her real estate license.

Today, as both a buyer’s and a seller’s agent with The Bob & Ronna Group, Jaye feels like her blossoming career in real estate makes the best use of all areas of her background. Not to mention, it’s immensely rewarding…

Jaye says the most important piece of advice she gives her clients is to make sure they have their mortgage pre-approvals in place. “That way, they’re ready to go when they find a home they love. Simply put, it prepares them to have the winning bid and get the house!”

Each week, Jaye also takes time to preview new properties on the market. “I like to preview properties for my clients because it allows me to get a head start—which is especially important in a hot market like Annapolis. And—I take notes. So, later, when I visit the home with my client, I can mention potential spots of interest or points of concern.”

Jaye jumped on board with The Bob & Ronna Group because, “they’re a top group in the entire country. They have a stellar reputation locally. And I just wanted to be part of a good team on the rise.”

Having lived in Annapolis for the past 25 years, Jaye considers herself an expert on the area and its many home choices—whether it be a small condo perfect for a young, single professional or a sprawling second home on the water for a couple with a growing family.

In her spare time, Jaye enjoys making fragrance-filled wax melts and candles. She specializes in floral-, vanilla-, and food-based scents. She’s also a bit of a foodie and wine-lover. So, you can find her on occasion eating stuffed oysters or fried soft-shell crabs—and sipping a glass of pinot noir, chardonnay, or rosé—with friends at the Boatyard Grill on Fourth Street or Blackwall Hitch on Sixth Street in downtown Annapolis. Jaye also enjoys spending time with her son, who lives in Annapolis, and her daughter who lives in Miami.
