In retrospect, itās no surprise that Brendaās a great agent; she comes from a kind of real estate legacy. Back in Texas, Brendaās father was a broker and her mother an agent. While Brenda followed her motherās career path, she was always more like her father; straightforward and honest. āHe was very direct,ā she recalls fondly, āeven to the point where it was a detriment.ā But itās never been a problem for Brenda, who prefers to linger in the background during conversation. āIām kind of shy,ā she says, ābut if it needs to be said, I speak up⦠Iām actually very sociable.ā Today, Brenda incorporates her parentsā values of loyalty and respect, alongside her ingrained sense of integrity, into everything she does.

Brenda prefers resale, but only because working in a well-established area means she can better tell both buyers and sellers what to expect. Her advice for buyers? Put your best offer upfront when there are multiple buyers involved. While keeping your cards close to your chest is a popular negotiation tactic, you donāt want to lose your dream home playing hardball.
